Horizontal spindle arrangement: This is the most notable feature of the horizontal machining center. The spindle is in a horizontal state and parallel to the worktable. This layout is conducive to the falling of chips during machining, reducing the impact of chips on the machining surface, and also facilitates the installation and adjustment of tools.
Rotatable worktable: It is usually equipped with a rotatable worktable, which can generally achieve 360° rotation at any angle. Through the rotation of the worktable, multiple surfaces can be processed in one clamping, which greatly improves the processing efficiency and accuracy and reduces the errors caused by multiple clamping.
Multi-axis linkage: Common horizontal machining centers have three linear motion axes (X, Y, Z axes) and one or two rotation axes (B axis, C axis), which can realize multi-axis linkage processing. This multi-axis linkage function enables the machining center to complete the processing of various complex-shaped parts, such as impellers, blades, molds, etc.
Tool magazine system: Equipped with a tool magazine for storing and automatically changing tools. The capacity of the tool magazine is generally large, and dozens or even hundreds of tools can be stored according to processing requirements. Through the automatic tool changer, the tool can be quickly and accurately replaced during the processing process to improve the processing efficiency.
